The blossom of a cherry tree
Buds around chivalry
The thing they say that's dead and gone
The one that men forever pawn
The gentleman who no longer opens doors
To the man females consider poor
The man who no longer works for a place
To the man who thinks it's okay to be in a woman's face
The boys who were supposed to be men
Have lost themselves to something they can win
They thought this fight was quickly over
Little did either know they are about to be smothered
Completely cut off from the things they once knew
To learn about manner kin to something new
New to them but old to
What is it you're thinking? Can't you see?
Don't you know there was a time when people shared?
Don't you remember when people cared?
It is time to travel back to the era of trust
Time to take back every piece of rust
And polish and coat it with optimistic hope
Never forgetting sight of ways to cope
Instead of kicking and screaming about the negative change
Make a difference to the history and give it a name
Not something that can be easily misconstrued
But something that everyone of us can use
Go back to the times where things were simply put
Not tucked away, waiting patiently for you to obey
Little Miss Sunshine you're gonna learn your place
Little boy Huey you will no longer be disgraced
Here and now we make our stand
To change history like sand
It is our time to be better
It is our time to to be direct
